The best conversations were never on the call.
Knack is meeting intelligence for in-person conversations, built by Builders Lab, co-founders Shay Shitrit and Amitay Boneh. Every popular AI notetaker works by joining a video call. That leaves the meetings where in-person businesses actually make their money completely unrecorded. Knack exists to close that gap: the phone on the table, consent asked out loud, and the whole conversation turned into the follow-up before the rep leaves the driveway.
Why this product exists
The AI notetaker boom followed remote work. If every meeting is a video call, a bot in the call can hear everything, and a whole category was built on that assumption. It holds for software sales. It fails completely for the trades, home services, medical device reps, real estate, and every business whose revenue conversation happens across a table. Those teams got nothing, so they kept doing what they always did: a rep writes four words in the CRM that night, and everything else that was said is gone.
What we believe
That a recap you cannot check is not worth much, which is why every line in a Knack recap links to the second it was said. That recording is a trust exercise, so the disclosure is part of the greeting rather than something buried in a settings screen. That the work should leave the app: a follow-up nobody sends and a CRM nobody updates are the same as no notes at all. And that the point of remembering every meeting is not the transcript, it is the pattern across hundreds of them.
Who builds it
Knack is made by Builders Lab, an AI agency co-founded by Shay Shitrit and Amitay Boneh. Knack is our own product, not client work. That matters for one practical reason: the roadmap is set by a design partner in home services using it on real appointments, and the fastest way onto it is to become one.
How we work with early customers
Knack is in early access. We onboard teams directly rather than running a timed trial, because the first week decides whether it sticks: the consent script has to feel natural, the CRM has to be connected, and the lead sources you care about have to be the ones the console tracks. If your business sells in person and you want it to remember every room, we want to hear from you.
Who makes Knack?
Knack is built by Builders Lab, an AI agency co-founded by Shay Shitrit and Amitay Boneh. Knack is Builders Lab's own product rather than client work, which is why the roadmap is set by what a design partner in home services actually needs rather than by a contract.
Where does Knack run?
Knack's storage and processing run on infrastructure in Frankfurt, Germany. The lead market for the product is US home services and trades.
What stage is Knack at?
Early access, working with a design partner in home services. We would rather get the product right with a handful of teams whose revenue depends on it than scale a version nobody has stress-tested in a real kitchen.
