SECURITY & TRUST

Recording a room is a trust exercise. We treat it that way.

Knack records real conversations with real customers, so trust is not a feature, it is the foundation: consent-first capture, on-device first storage, encryption everywhere, and your data stays yours.

Consent first

The app makes recording state unmistakable, so nobody in the room is left unclear that it is on. Consent rules vary by region, and obtaining consent is the account holder's responsibility. A guided consent step is coming. The workflow is built so honesty is the default, not an afterthought.

On device first

Recordings are captured and stored on the phone first, then uploaded over an encrypted connection when there is coverage. A lost signal never means a lost or leaked meeting.

Encrypted in transit and at rest

Audio, transcripts, and everything derived from them are encrypted on the way to our servers and while stored there. Access is scoped: reps see their meetings, owners see their team's, nobody else sees anything.

We do not train on your audio

Your conversations are processed to serve you: transcription, recaps, and your team's own memory. They are not used to train foundation models.

Hosted in the EU

Storage and processing run on infrastructure in Frankfurt, Germany.

Your data, your call

Export everything, delete anything. When a recording is deleted it is gone from our systems, not archived into a shadow copy.
